Idle Kingdom Clicker – Beginner’s Guide

Nov 25, 2023 | Idle Kingdom Clicker

As far as idle games go, Idle Kingdom Clicker adds a new twist on the famous incremental mechanic of resource generation, transport, and collection by making you play on a hexagonal map. The core gameplay loop revolves around unlocking as many tiles as possible to progress through the game and prestiging with additional bonuses.

After a while you will also unlock research through which you can unlock additional buildings and increase the production rates of your current buildings.

Prestiging, Trophies, and Progression

Idle Kingdom Clicker uses the standard prestige points system, you receive trophies every time you prestige and these trophies boost your global production, your “economy”. You keep your research after you prestige and your boosts keep running as well, but you will start the current map again from scratch and lose all your resources.

How many prestige points you get is a factor of how many resources you have accumulated, you can check each resource’s contribution to your prestige points on the Reset Kingdom page. You’ll also notice that the most significant bonus comes from the number of territories that you have – which is why food is always important to focus on if you want to get more prestige points.

Unlocking More Worlds

In order to unlock additional worlds, you need to prestige and get more trophies. Each world has its own unique map, bonuses, and multipliers. You should always try to play on the latest world that you have unlocked – because it will provide the best multipliers for the number of trophies you get per prestige.

Doing Runs that Focus on Research

Depending on what your current limiting factors are, you might benefit from a run that focuses entirely on research. Instead of trying to be the jack of all trades, aim for Shrines that boost the science resource. It’s okay to not get as many prestige points as you otherwise would, especially if you can knock off a handful of researches quickly.

This is especially true if your next achievable research will be unlocking a new building or tile type – for example being able to go over rivers or mountains. As both of these will give you a significant boost to your next run and end up getting you a lot more prestige points than you otherwise would’ve gotten.

It’s Okay to Unclaim Tiles

We all make mistakes – there is no reason you should stick to a bad one. A tile that does not contribute significantly to your economy, or does not help you get a Shrine bonus, might as well not exist.

The best piece of advice to give to newcomers into the game would be this: Don’t claim tiles like a blob, instead, bee-line for the nearest Shrines and bonuses and identify which parts of the map are the best for which resources. Especially when you unlock a new world – spend some prestiges exploring the map and familiarize yourself with the layout.
